Promising Math 2022 is a virtual event that will bring together a variety of stakeholders who are committed to unpacking and addressing issues raised in the Call to Action.

Conference activities will include invited speakers, small group and whole group discussions, a participant poster session, and facilitated experiences across three areas:

(1) empirical and conceptual issues related to racial justice in early math,

(2) individual and collective reflexivity, and

(3) reimagining, looking forward, and intentionality.

Activities across these three areas will help participants frame what racial justice in early math means, examine our individual and collective responsibilities in addressing racial oppression and injustice in early math, and develop visions and action plans for early math experiences that are worthy of children and families who have been historically underserved.
